Sadly there were no real surprises in Apple’s MacBook event today, just confirmation that the rumour sites once again got it pretty much spot on. Apple are really trying to market the benefits of a new manufacturing process that carves the body out of one piece of aluminum, there’s a video at Apple.com if your interested. Ultimately this is hardly an influencing factor for the consumer when making the purchase decision, unless the new process is cheaper to manufacture and results in a cost reduction to the customer. This is not the case as indicated by the prices below.

There was also new Cinema Displays announced, the biggest changes being LED backlighting and the addition of a display port. Apple suggests the new display will work great with your new MacBook.
