At the FutureGov Summit in Canberra yesterday, the Minister Assisting for Industry and Innovation, Senator Kate Lundy launched two new business-focused apps and announced an update to another. Those apps are MyBizPlan, MarketMyBiz and MyBizShield.

The new apps provide templates to guide businesses through the process of developing business and marketing plans. The apps take a very traditional approach to creating a business plan, so startups should look elsewhere. The best part of the applications are that you can export the details as a PDF. Unfortunately this means that any changes to the plan will require the app.

The idea of the apps being mobile is that you access to your important business documents anywhere, anytime. This enables you to enter information on the go about your customers and competitors as well set advertising and sales objectives.

The three free apps can be downloaded from www.business.gov.au/businessapps.
