EBExpo is underway, next gen consoles both playable

EB Games Expo is Australia’s largest gaming expo and is taking place from October 4 – 6 at the Sydney Showground (Sydney Olympic Park). The 3-day consumer event is predicted to attract upwards of 40,000 people, and will feature exhibitions of the hottest games from the biggest brands in gaming. This is the third year of EBExpo and is an important year in gaming. Both the next generation consoles, Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4 are playable at the show.

Jam-packed with a wide range of activities, the expo is guaranteed to entertain everyone from keen gamers and sports enthusiasts, as well as the whole family. As with any big event, there’s likely to be some long waits involved. Throughout the day reports online indicate some cues are around an hour, but then totally worth it. There’s also some pretty awesome cosplay happening so don’t be scared to dress up, you’ll be amongst friends.

Part of the conference’s draw is its ability to give Aussie gaming fans time with unreleased titles. There’s also the opportunity to meet some developers from large and indie development studios. Earlier today the stars of ABC’s Good Game, Hex and Bajo were on stage at EBExpo, however without a live stream, I’m going to guess they were incredibly seductively constructive and gushy about the show.
