FH3 lets you fulfil your warthog racing fantasies

    Forza3

Forza Horizon 3 is officially done. The latest in a long line of the Xbox’s most successful racing franchise will be in your console (and PC) in less than 1 month from now. The official worldwide release date for Forza Horizon 3 is September 27th, so block out your calendar now.

Over the past 6 weeks, the developers Turn 10 Studios have released week-by-week the list of more than 350 vehicles that will be driveable in the game. They did however hold off announce one final vehicle, the 2554 AMG Transport Dynamics M12S Warthog CST.. or for those halo fans, the Warthog from Halo.

Its a civilian transport alternative to its militaristic cousin, the M12 Force Application Vehicle. The 720 bhp twin turbo V8, should make for an exciting off-road adventure vehicle, while you explore the Australian-inspired environments from the jungles, to the beaches. With the most advanced suspension in Forza Horizon 3 (with more than 70 cm of suspension travel), plus advanced dampening, you won’t find the combination of power and stability like this anywhere else in the Horizon Festival.

Of course this time round, Forza isn’t just for the console, its also being released for Windows 10 PCs. While we kind of had that with Forza 6 Apex, it wasn’t exactly a 1:1 on both platforms and certainly wasn’t day and date release on both. Those PC gamers will be keen to know if their gaming rig is able to handle the game. Today we had that answered, with the PC specs being released.

    PC Specs

Forza Horizon 3 will require DirectX 12-enabled machines and Windows 10. Below is a table of recommended specs, while it’ll technically work with less, its probably not going to give you the experience you need from a driving game.

The good news is FH3 will have plenty of control over options vertical sync, and resolution, to more advanced adjustments like quality settings for motion blur, mirrors, reflection, static and dynamic geometry. If you’ve got the latest and greatest, you’ll be able to play Forza Horizon 3 in 4K quality.
