Float around the pool this summer on an Xbox inflatable controller

The Microsoft Australia team apparently are now well and truly in the accessory market. Not content with making us comfy on the couch with the Xbox Onesie, they’ve now come up with a delightfully summer edition of an Xbox inflatable. The giant controller pretty accurately reflects the real thing, complete with the thumbstick controllers (no triggers though).

Of course when you’re floating around in gamer heaven, making your friends super jealous, you’ll keep cool with a cold drink or 2 thanks to the drink holders where the standard select and start buttons typically live.

There is some irony in the fact that to use this Xbox inflatable, you’ll actually have to turn off your Xbox and go outside, something you’d think is counter-productive to the teams goals of increased play time and sales. I have no doubt that in a week or 2 we will see a photo of someone lounging on the Xbox controller, with a big TV pulled up to the side of the pool while they continue to game with their wireless controller.

All that aside, it is kind of fun and we’re glad the Microsoft Australia team is kind of a little nuts with this stuff, can’t wait to see what they do next.

Just in case you were wondering..

*The Limited Edition Giant Inflatable Xbox One S Controller is not compatible with the Xbox One or Xbox One S gaming console, Xbox One Play and Charge Kit, Xbox One Chat Headset, or Xbox One Stereo Headset. It is however suitable for use in swimming pools, fresh water pools or the ocean, all summer long.

You can actually win yourself a limited edition Xbox Inflatable and enhance your Australia Day experience. To be in the running, just go like the Microsoft Store page on Facebook and tell them in 25 words or less ‘what your ideal Australia Day would be!’ – the most creative answers WIN!
