Guild Wars 2 early access starts today

    Guild Wars 2

Those Guild Wars fans who pre-purchase the Digital Deluxe or Collectors editions of GW2, get your keyboard and mouse ready. Your reward for buying early is that you get early (Headstart) access, 3 days ear to be precise, to Guild Wars 2. Sure it costs US$20 more than the base version, but early access to a game like it like seeing a unicorn dancing on a double rainbow.

Guild Wars fans have waited since 2005 for a sequel and now its finally here. Ultra fans of the MMORPG would know there has been some server stress testing going on over the past few weeks so lets hope everything goes smoothly.

My download of GW2 (currently 21%) is currently in a race with the Headstart countdown which is now at 4 hours and 22 minutes. Gamers should know you’ll need a new Guild Wars 2 account with AreaNet, but link your Guild Wars 1 account and gain access to your earned achievements and rewards in the Hall of Monuments.

The game officially gets released on August 28th, 2012, remember Guild Wars was massive and GW2 is many times larger, so nobody will be finishing this one in 3 days.

    Update
The game has gone live more than 2 hours earlier than the countdown. If you have it, get in there now, if you’re like me and still at 35% downloaded.. then head to http://gamebreaker.tv/live and watch others play it live.

The game is only available on PC and unfortunately not available through Steam. For more information or to grab yourself a copy, head to https://www.guildwars2.com/en/
