Hacked iPhone in Australia running on Optus

    iPhoneInAus

This is the 1st instance I’ve heard of anyone in Australia using an iPhone on an Australian provider. Obviously the iPhone had 2 be hacked for this 2 work, Danny Gorog from APC mag chose the TubroSIM hardware hack hoping that will be more resistant in the event Apple release a patch to stop this.

This is clearly a symptom of a non-World-wide release of a very popular consumer product. So companies pay attention, if people are willing to take the risk of having their AU$1000+ device being bricked, just to get their hands on it, that very clearly indicates the demand. So don’t delay the Aus release for 6 months after the US, bring it as soon as possible.

Certainly from what I’ve seen it offers the best, without exception, the best web browsing experience of any mobile device currently available in Australia.
