The Huawei Ascend is a 4.7” 4G enabled smartphone that’s slim, light and doesn’t mess around, it’s looks are straight down to business. Weighing in at just 122 grams, it’s lighter than most competitors.

At just 8.4mm, it’s a fashionably slim smartphone, great for those hipsters rocking the tight jeans. The Huawei Ascend’s real design signature is the 1280×720 display that merges seamlessly with the edge of the phone.

As with all good phones these days, the Ascend P2 is 4G enabled and this chip supports speeds up to the fastest networks at 150Mbps. If you’re ever able to get that, snap a picture of the tower you’re standing under with the rear 13 megapixel camera.

The camera sensor is smart in that it responds intelligently to different lighting conditions, which will have you taking the perfect picture day or night. Most smartphones offer some form of HDR photo mode, but the Ascend P2 offers a  neat HDR video recording feature, in difficult lighting conditions, this really makes the content pop regardless of the shadows.

The network speed doesn’t stop there with 802.11N support when you’re on WiFi. The Huawei Ascend P2 ships with Android 4.1 Jellybean and if you haven’t seen the website for the device, check out http://huaweimobile.com.au/ascend-p2 it’s actually a really impressive site that uses some neat effects to promote the phone’s speed, something Huawei likes to call, superhuman.
