Vuze, made by Azureus, is an application targeted towards the delivery of Hi-definition content, something close to my heart. I personally can’t wait for the day we live completely in HD.
They’ve now opened the platform, allowing content producers to upload their own content. This will no doubt spawn even further growth for Vuze, that already touts big numbers. 2 million new viewers last month, over 10 million downloads of the client app.
I uploaded episode #22 of the podcast to try it out. Upload process is pretty painless, just select a file, fill out the appropriate fields and your away.
It is possible to earn money from publishing your content on Vuze, however I decided to simply use it for promotion of techAU. I think that given it’s simplicity to add content and no real limits in terms of file size etc, I may use this as an additional distribution mechanism.
Check it out, there’s a number of great channels on Vuze, as you know, HD equals large file sizes, so best 2 make sure your pipe is as fat as possible to slam it down fast.
