Last month we brought you news of Tesla’s Wodonga Supercharger location and it’s time for an update. Less than a month on from finding the location, the 6-bay Supercharger in Wodonga is taking shape. The big power units required to rapidly charge Tesla vehicles is now installed, as are the 6 Superchargers, each which can charge 2 cars. That means Wodonga will soon be ready to accept a 12-car EV road trip from Canberra to Melbourne.
Right now, there’s still one unit covered up, but the other 5 are shining brightly in their glossy white and red paint job that will surely draw plenty of attention. Given the progress in the last month, it’s safe to say October is looking likely for an official launch.
