    Windows Vista SP1

Microsoft are set to release a version of the upcoming Windows Vista SP1 dubbed Release Candidate. to the general public this week. This release candidate will contain what’s essentially going to form a majority of the Vista SP1.

Istartedsomething blog have a great list of the upcoming changes included in SP1.

These are all broken down into the following categories:

    Hardware Ecosystem Support and Enhancements
    Reliability Improvements
    Performance and Power Consumption Improvements
    Security Improvements
Support for New Technologies and Standards
    Desktop Administration and Management
    Setup and Deployment Improvements
    Interoperability Improvements
    Feature or API Changes
    General Improvements and Enhancements
Windows Vista Alignment with Windows Server 2008

After reading the long list, I’m quite surprised just how many changes Microsoft have squeezed into this one.
