Millions of bloggers run WordPress blogs, millions of users use Pintrest, so naturally we’d want to connect the two. It turns out Pintrest made a change to their API a few months back that prevents third parties from doing this. My go-to automation service is IFTTT.com and when they didn’t offer Pintrest, I went on the hunt for a solution.
Looking for an autoposting solution, I stumbled across WP Pinner. A WordPress plugin designed to easily auto-pin WordPress posts, schedule your pins throughout the day and some nice analytics (CTR, clicks, likes, repins, reach, etc).
Pintrest is great but pinning each blog post or photo gets really old quickly. It’s disappointing Pintrest doesn’t support it natively, but these guys are creating workarounds. Clearly nobody wants an automated service to create noise and spam, lets face it, twitter’s full of it. Ultimately great content does deserve to be shared and engaging users where they choose to hang out is always a great idea.
