You can pre-order Microsoft’s Surface Studio now in Australia, avail from April 27th

Next month, Aussies will be able to buy Microsoft’s sexy Surface Studio. The Studio is a 28″ display, strapped to a small base that contains the brains of the PC. the trick here is adjustability of the display which can be used in an array of positions. Day to day you may use it like a standard monitor, but should you need a surface to draw on with your Surface pen, you can push the screen down to Studio Mode.

The display is incredibly unique with its 4500 x 3000 resolution (192 DPI) and 3:2 aspect ratio. This kind of uniqueness doesn’t come cheap, with the Surface Studio starting at A$4,599.00 for a relatively mid-tier PC. If you get really crazy and have unlimited budget, then you’ll opt for the Core i7 version with a 2TB SSD and 32GB RAM, but that’ll set you (or your boss) back a massive AU$6,599.00.

The pre-orders start today in Australia and New Zealand at Microsoft Store, Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi. The Surface Studio will start shipping and be available at retail from April 27th, 2017.
