Every year Mary Meeker releases her annual internet report, and she just released this years. Sharing has proven to be the dominating trend with Meeker noticing that many more of us are willing to publish our media as well as our location data. Worldwide, people are now sharing over 500 million photos a day through Facebook and newer mobile services like SnapChat (although, we know what’s mostly sent there..), with Soundcloud, YouTube and Vimeo growing quickly, also.
The other big thing to come out of the report is, and if it wasn’t clear already, that mobile devices are definitely taking over. The Internet Report shows that tablet shipments are overtaking PC’s at the end of 2012 and mobile internet traffic is quickly surpassing the desktop on some Asian countries.
