In a press release today from PlayStation, Australians will see a new model of the PS3 hit stores on August 28. The new model will feature an 80GB hard drive (up from the current 40GB), and include a DualShock 3 controller (includes vibration). The new package will cost $699, which is pretty good value compared to the current offering.
The new model that was first announced at E3 (with no confirmation about an Australian release), will replace the current 40GB model. Also included in the press release was the details of local sales figures, over 350,000 PS3’s have now been sold in Australia.
