Anker Unveils GaN Fast USB-C Chargers Exclusive to Apple Stores in Australia

Leading charging brand Anker, has announced a new lineup of high-speed USB-C chargers. The chargers will be available exclusively at Apple stores and online in Australia. This partnership is part of Anker’s commitment to sustainable innovation.

The new chargers come in a range of power capabilities from 30W to 240W, designed to meet the charging needs of various Apple devices like watches, earbuds, tablets, and laptops as well as any other USB-C devices you own.

    Anker’s new charger lineup includes:

    • 30W Charger with USB-C Cable ($59.95)
    • 50W Dual-Port Charger ($74.95)
    • 70W Triple-Port Charger ($119.95)
    • 150W Quad-Port Charger ($149.95)
    • 240W Quad-Port Desktop Charger ($199.95)

A key feature of these chargers is the use of GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology. GaN is a semiconductor material that can operate at higher voltages, frequencies, and temperatures compared to traditional silicon. This allows GaN chargers to be more compact, efficient, and generate less heat than silicon-based counterparts.

Specifically, the GaN technology in these Anker chargers enables:

    • Faster charging speeds – the chargers can juice up devices more quickly.
    • Reduced heat generation – the chargers run cooler, improving safety and reliability.
    • More compact designs – the chargers have a smaller footprint than older silicon chargers with similar power ratings.

In addition to the performance benefits, Anker has focused on sustainability. The charger casings are made from 75% post-consumer recycled plastics, and the packaging is also recyclable.

For safety, the chargers are equipped with a Dynamic Temperature Sensor and a Power Tuner Chip. These monitor temperature and adjust power output to protect connected devices.

The partnership with Apple brings Anker’s sustainable, high-performance charging solutions to the Australian market through Apple’s retail channels.
