We first covered AppFest back in November last year, but as a quick re-cap, Appfest is in Sydney and gives developers the opportunity to network and connect with peers, Microsoft Evangelists and Industry experts to make their app ideas happen.

Over the two days, developers will have the time to immerse themselves in developing apps, with great content covering Windows Azure, Windows Phone & Windows 8, with great support & tools to build that App.

The great news is that Microsoft have decided to make the event free and AppFest will now run in Sydney this weekend (15-17 Feb) and is located at the University of NSW, Kensington campus instead of the Microsoft Australia HQ.

If you want more info on the 2-day hackathon that is AppFest, head over to MS Events. If you’re going to be at the event, leave a comment and let us know what app you’ll be working on.
