Most large-scale conferences now contain giveaways for attendees. This year Microsoft Build attendees weren’t disappointed, actually, probably spoilt with a bag of goodies from Redmond. Below is a list of the giveaways for 2013 which will no doubt have 2014 tickets sold out in record time.

That is a seriously impressive giveaway with the retail price tag nudging the price of the Build ticket. It’s never a bad idea to put hardware and software in the hands of passionate developers and see what comes out. The theory is, and we’ll have to wait to see, that these developers will go away and use these products to write apps that ultimately move the platforms forward.
