Turns out EB Games has created a national event (held in QLD), called EB Games Expo or #EBX for short. They claim it’ll be ‘the biggest gaming event in Australia’s history’. Lets see about that shall we. Could this turn into our very own E3 conference ?

Featuring the hottest upcoming games playable for the first time in Australia, exciting presentations from international game developers, the unmissable EB Arena Spectacular with Showtime FMX freestyle motorcross, and much, much more.

See the best gamers in the country compete for the National Championship Crown and the right to represent Australia at the World Final in Seoul in the Australian National Finals of the 2011 World Cyber Games.
Strictly Limited VIP Experiences will be available, providing access to a red carpet entry, priority seating and express access to selected games! Additional VIP Pass features will be announced in the near future.
Tickets will be available across three sessions, with more announcements for each session coming soon.
When ?
The event will take place on the Gold Coast on October 15th and 16th with tickets going on sale Thursday, 2nd of June. Additional dates are listed below.
Saturday Daylight 10am to 4pm – Grand Opening LIVE in the Arena
Saturday Twilight 4pm to 10pm – WCG LIVE National Final in the Arena
Sunday 10am to 4pm – COSPLAY LIVE Judging and LIVE final in the Arena
Where ?
The 2011 EB Games Expo will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
How much ?
Pre-paid tickets to the event will cost A$29.95 per session, with general admission tickets purchased on the day to set you back A$31.95. EB is also selling VIP tickets for A$99.95—VIP ticket
