Formula 1 is the top tier of motorsport and technology and this weekend they’re racing in Monaco, one of the most difficult race tracks on the planet.
As each race of the season arrives, we get closer to the release of the complimentary F1 2016 game which comes with updated teams, drivers, and updated tracks to reflect this season. Baku City Circuit in Azerbaijan, host of the Europe Grand Prix, is also included.
Today we get new details around the F1 2016 which is set to arrive on PC, Xbox One and PS4 in the US Summer, unfortunately no exact release date.
While 2015 included 2014/2015 seasons for gamers to enjoy, Codemasters are going all out in this release with a 10-year career mode.
This year, racers get to experience safety cars, both the real (Mercedes-AMG GT S) safety car, as well as the newly introduced virtual safety car. These combine to provide a more realistic racing experience and when accidents inevitably happen.
Principal game designer at Codemasters, Lee Mather said
F1 2016 is a massive step forward for the franchise.
He went on to say that beyond improving the on-track racing experience, F1 2016 offers the drama and vehicle development that goes on behind the scenes. A rich car upgrade system is fully integrated into a new and deep practice development programme which mirrors the tests carried out by the teams in real life.
Apparently there’s still a number of other unannounced improvements means that F1 2016 will have more new features than any other year of the franchise.
