Update: Don’t expect this on your iPhone or Windows Phone anytime soon. The Verge has confirmed that Facebook has approached Apple and Microsoft but are not in talks.

According to Bloomberg, Facebook is currently in talks with Apple and Microsoft to bring its new Facebook Home to the iPhone and Windows Phone devices.

“We’ve shown them what we’ve built and we’re just in an ongoing conversation,” Adam Mosseri, director of product at Facebook, said, referring to discussions with Apple and Microsoft.

It isn’t likely that due to the nature of iOS and Windows Phone that we will see a complete launcher replacement like the app is in Android.

Mosseri said that the Home software would be tailored to what Apple prefers, it could look much different than the Android version.

“It may or may not be Home,” he said. “We could also just bring some of the design values to the iOS app. That might be how it ends up. Or we could build just the lock screen. Maybe then it’s not called Home, it’s called something else.”

Mark Zuckerberg said earlier this month at the Home launch event that Facebook and Apple have a “great relationship” and reminded us how integrated Facebook and iOS are.
