Foxtel partners with Microsoft, lots of new content for Xbox Live

    Fotel by Xbox Live

While video offerings on Xbox in Australia has long suffered from a limited lineup, a new partnership between Foxtel and Microsoft will see that change. The agreement will see content from Nickelodeon, Fox Sports, Discovery, Disney and MTV content delivered via Xbox Live.

FOXTEL by Xbox Live will launch ‘towards the end of the calendar year’. Strangely it will compete against Microsoft’s own Zune Video Marketplace by offering a range of Video On Demand services including television series and movies.

To access FOXTEL by Xbox Live, you’ll need a broadband internet connection, Xbox 360 and Xbox Gold Subscription as well as a FOXTEL by Xbox LIVE subscription. Pricing details of this new FOXTEL by Xbox LIVE subscription haven’t been announce, but will be made public closer to the launch of the service.
