The industry standard for action sports video is GoPro and with Australian’s love for extreme sports, it makes a lot of sense they’re coming to Australia. The Victorian Government today announced that GoPro will establish its Australian, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific Region headquarters in Melbourne.
The company’s new Australian headquarters will act as an interim hub overseeing business development, marketing and management. The new HQ will create 50 new jobs.
GoPro’s Director of ANZ, SEA & India Sales, Rodney Block says
“Our investment in the Australian office in Melbourne is to provide greater regional focus and support to our business partners across Australia, New Zealand & the Asia Pacific Region.”
Released along side the announcement were some clips to show off how Aussies are using GoPro cameras to capture their adventures. These include V8 Supercar driver Rick Kelly amongst others in Kayaking, mountain bike riding, surfing to name a few.
