GWM Ora price decrease across the board, base model EV now $39990 plus on road costs

GWM has responded to the recent launch of the MG4 and BYD Dolphin EV hatchbacks in Australia, both of which have base models that are priced at sub-$40K before on road costs.

GWM’s competing retro styled Ora EV hatchback now also has a price decrease with the company saying it is as a result of “the costs of battery technology (the largest single contributing component in EV cost)… fallen recently due to lower raw material prices”. The Ora range now starts from just $39,990 plus on road costs.

As a new bonus GWM will offer early Aussie buyers of Ora Extended Range, Ora Ultra and Ora GT a free wall mounted GWM Charging Station ($1690 RRP, install not included) as an incentive to purchase a more premium version rather than the base model.

This launch offer will be extended to customers who have already placed an order for a GWM Ora and is available to buyers who take delivery before the September 30th cut-off date (or while charger stocks last).

The 5 Star ANCAP rated Ora EV is backed by a 7-year / unlimited km warranty, 5-years roadside assistance and 5-years Capped Price Servicing. The battery receives coverage for 8-years.
