One of the great advantages of being an Internode customer with a TiVo, is that content downloaded doesn’t count towards your monthly internet download quota. Well now iPrimus customers can enjoy the same freedom, with a new partnership between Hybrid Television Services (ANZ) Pty Limited (TiVo Australia) and iPrimus.
As well as TiVo’s Electronic Program Guide updates, this also includes the new Blockbuster On Demand movie service which offers 100+ movies to rent, on average between 1-2GB.
Hopefully we’ll see other users follow suit and allow TiVo content to be downloaded unmetered. You could wait for ISPs to raise caps, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
