Is Tile now the most overfunded crowd sourced project ?

Asking for a mere 20,000, the creators of Tile have a big problem on their hands. Lots of cash. With only hours remaining on the crowd sourced project, it now has more than $2,543,777 of funding. This translate to the astounding figure of being 12,719% funded. This is pretty insane, especially when you consider the expected production processes used for the Tile now needs to be completely rethought.

If you haven’t heard of Tile, it’s a small and sleek smart tiles designed to go everywhere you do. Just attach, stick or drop your Tile into any item you might lose: laptops, wallets, keys, guitars, bikes—you name it. Then get on with the fun. My brother asked me today if it’d work as a dog tracker, indeed it would Steve, it’d be the best tracker you could get. Traditionally someone would find a dog and have to get the chip scanned to discover who owned it, then return it usually with the help of the council or pound. With Tile, you could attach it to your dogs collar and then use your smartphone to track the dog’s location anytime.
