Jack Dorsey tried to start twitter back in 2000

In a brand new podcast from internet celebrity and entrepreneur Kevin Rose, Foundation episode 1 features the inventor of twitter – Jack Dorsey. The interview offers up a number of valuable insights into the mind behind twitter, probably the most amazing is that Jack actually wanted to launch twitter in 2000. That’s right, 10 years ago, but in a world where timing is everything, the internet, and society, wasn’t ready for it.

6 years later Jack thought it was time and with help from Evan Williams and Biz Stone, twitter was born. Fast fforward a few years and now twitter is fighting off $500 million acquisition attempts from Facebook.

In this series premiere of Foundation, Kevin Rose interviews Jack Dorsey, the creator, co-founder and chairman of Twitter and the CEO of Square. The conversation talks of entrepreneurship, decision making, trial and error, and the path Jack took that lead to the creation of Twitter and Square.
