JET Charge installs EV chargers at 244 Toyota dealerships for the bZ4X

Toyota has partnered with Australia’s leading EV infrastructure company, JET Charge, to roll out the largest EV dealer charging network in the country in preparation for the launch of its flagship BEV, the bZ4X.

Over 18 months, JET Charge has supplied and installed EV charging hardware at 244 metropolitan and rural Toyota dealerships across every state and territory. This partnership sets a new standard for dealership charging networks and at-home charging possibilities across Australia.

JET Charge Co-Founder Tim Washington emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating:

“We have provided a nation-wide charging solution to ensure that the market entry of Toyota’s flagship BEV, the bZ4X, has been as smooth as possible. Between 8-10% of all new car sales in Australia are hybrid or EV, so it is essential that Toyota dealers are confident in selling this new technology and able to provide customers with the same ease-of-purchase as with any vehicle purchase.”

JET Charge’s comprehensive approach not only equips dealers with the necessary hardware and technical knowledge but also provides customers with a seamless pathway to at-home EV charging.

As Toyota’s approved aftermarket supplier of EV hardware, JET Charge supplies two charging cables with every bZ4X. This means you get an AC charger for home, and a Type2 to Type2 charger for those BYO charging stations.

Toyota Australia Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Sean Hanley, highlighted the significance of this partnership in Toyota’s commitment to decarbonization:

“By investing in charging facilities at 244 metro and rural locations across the country, our Dealers have been well equipped to support the sale and service of battery-electric vehicles. Earlier this year we launched the bZ4X, and we will launch at least two more BEV’s by the end of 2026. This charging network is an important way to help our customers lower tailpipe carbon emissions and ensure no-one is left behind.”

This collaboration between JET Charge and Toyota marks a significant step forward in Australia’s EV landscape, demonstrating a commitment to supporting widespread EV adoption and providing a seamless transition for consumers.

Toyota’s bZ4X is available for A$71,527 driveaway for the RWD base model, or from A$80,769 for the AWD edition.
