Microsoft have launched a technology preview of a new service called Live Mesh. Interestingly they’ve used one of the magical 4-character domain names http://mesh.com.
Live mesh aims to provide data portability and synchronisation across your multiple machines and devices, allowing you to securely access important information stored in the cloud on any machine with an Internet connection. I can hear the cries for an iPhone app now.. I’m thinking we’ll be waiting a while for that one.
One of my pain point has been the lack of syncronisation of RSS feeds that I’ve read between my PC, laptop and work PC. I’m hoping Live Mesh may be the solution for this.
Unfortunately the Live Mesh Technology Preview is currently full, I’ve applied for now and will bring you my review of Live Mesh once I’m accepted..
