New Uniden DashView 60+ & 60R dashcams feature Sony Starvis sensor, H.265 recording

Uniden has announced the new DashView 60+ and DashView60R additions to its range of dash cams.

With built-in Sony Starvis sensors both models should have good low light sensitivity and Wide Dynamic Range for a clearer picture in both bright and low light when capturing incidents.

Both use an in-built high quality, long life supercapacitor which provides enough backup power to ensure any recording in progress is stored safely before shutting the camera off.

The energy saving Smart Parking Mode records motion-activated events in 60 second blocks when cars are parked (only when using the hard wired kit HWK-3).

The DashView series makes it easy to access and share recordings, thanks to built-in WiFi connectivity and the free DashView app for Android and Apple smartphones.

The key differences are that the:

    • DashView 60+ is cheaper at RRP $399.95 and supports up to 5K 150° recording at 25fps but has just has the front camera.
    • DashView 60R is more expensive at $499.95 and supports 4K 150° recording at 30fps for front camera + 2K 140° recording at 25fps for the Rear Camera.
