Today Nokia announced two brand new flagship phones, the Nokia E6 for business and Nokia X7 for entertainment, read: consumers. Also included in today’s announcement is a refresh to the OS – Symbian Anna.
I have a number of issues with Nokia’s announcement, the first being the continued failure to recognise that today’s smart phone needs to handle both work and personal uses, not require a separate phone for each. The second issue is the refresh for Symbian, while it contain some welcome refinements, its still a stop-gap measure to make short-term sales before ditching it for WP7.
Those complaints aside, lets take a look at Symbian Anna.
