Outlook.com adding support for Google chat

    image

In a new post this morning, Outlook.com announced they will be rolling out support for Google chat. Currently Microsoft only support chatting with their own users and associates like Facebook. There’s no word on Google’s side of things, but never the less, it’s a welcome feature that expands Outlook.com’s offering.

Personally I have contacts on Google chat that I rarely talk to, but those who engage me on Outlook.com, Facebook or Skype I find easy to stay in contact with. Now if you lived in gmail, the reverse may be true, either way extra support for communicating with your contacts, regardless of the platform they choose is welcome.

Google chat integration will be available to everyone worldwide in the next few days.
