PAX Australia kicks off today and runs through till Sunday. The Gaming expo is all about showing off the latest from game developers, hardware makers and of course the community. Whether your vice is tabletop gaming, handhelds, PCs or consoles, PAX has it all.
While it costs $65 per day to attend or $165 for all 3 days, you’re getting access to experiences not available elsewhere. Naturally in 2016 (the year of VR) there’ll be plenty of opportunities to experience Mixed and Virtual Reality. This afternoon at 3PM there’s a panel called ‘The virtual Reality Hype Train – VR Developers Getting Real’. It features an array of panelists that would be amazing to hear from – Jennifer Scheurle, Game Designer at Flat Earth Games, Sally Kellaway, Audio Designer for Zero Latency VR, Scott Reismanis, Founder of VRDB.com, Emre Deniz, Creative/Game Designer at Opaque Media Group], Nic Healey, from, well, everywhere. If you’re at PAX, this is definitely one you should head to.
At 10.30AM today, the Director of Programming for Xbox Live at Microsoft, Major Nelson (aka Larry Hryb) will be on a panel in the main theatre for an hour. He’s just one of many big names that will be at the conference.
Expect the Cosplay to be outrageously awesome from the dedicated, hardcore Aussie gaming fans and be on the look out for companies making new announcements.
