After releasing his plans for a 5th mode of transport, Hyperloop, SpaceX and Tesla CEO and Founder Elon Musk announced a competition to spur design and engineering innovation and the world exploded with ideas.
The most recent idea for a pod to travel inside the Hyperloop, comes from Australia’s very own RMIT University students. The pod has just been released, covered in sponsors logos, at Elon Musk’s competition.
Each pod will be assessed on its ability to meet the strict engineering requirements of the Hyperloop and its potential 1000km/h+ speeds.
The SpaceX run competition for the best pod design takes place on Jan 27-29, 2017. Best of luck Aussies, go kick ass on the world stage.
This week student Hyperloop teams visited @SpaceX for vacuum/track tests. See you at Competition Weekend, Jan 27-29! https://t.co/MHrFCAx507 pic.twitter.com/PLtFGjGpKE
