Samsung Galaxy S III 4G announced for Telstra and Optus, Game on Apple!

GalaxyS III 4G

Before breakfast this morning, Samsung Electronics Australia announced the GALAXY S III 4G. The impressive spec list is available in full below, but there’s a few key points about the announcement. The GALAXY S III 4G will be available on both Telstra and Optus 4G networks.

This is the best Android smartphone to hit the market, featuring not only 4G, but NFC and runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Please don’t base your carrier decision on colour, but know that the Onyx Black and Titanium Gray is available on the Telstra and only the Titanium Gray is available on Optus.

With a massive 4.8” screen with pretty much every technology under the sun packed into this guy, it’s game on Apple! Cupertino will have to pull out something a lot more impressive than the rumoured 5th row of icons and updated dock connector to top this guy.

It’s great to see Optus finally offering a 4G network for their consumers but as always, check the coverage maps and talk to others in your area for availability.
