SIXT Australia has announced a new partnership with Uber in Australia that allows rideshare drivers to access to the latest electric vehicle through an EV subscription for as little as $339 per week. If we break that down to a per-week basis.
From BYD’s to Tesla’s, drivers will get the chance to test out their preferred electric vehicle, with a decent 1,400kms per month included.
SIXT Australia launched the largest fleet of electric vehicles in Australia in 2022 which has continued to grow over the past 12 months. The new partnership will allow Uber drivers to harness Australia’s largest EV rental fleet, with a range of luxury electric vehicles to become available in the coming months.
Uber drivers will be able to select a subscription that suits their needs, from month-to-month agreements to annual terms. The subscription includes vehicle insurance, 24/7 roadside assistance for drivers, and fast access to replacement vehicles. The SIXT x Uber rideshare offer is also highly flexible, with the option to continue to turn over the car more frequently, ensuring drivers always have a new and reliable vehicle.
SIXT Australia CEO Matthew Beattie said while all motorists have been hit hard by record high fuel prices this year, we know economy drivers have especially been feeling the pinch at the bowser.
SIXT launched with the goal of electrifying 50% of its fleet in the coming years. There is a wide range of electric vehicles available for hire nationally including vehicles from BMW, Tesla, and Kia.
