The latest update on the TweetDeck Posterous is a sad one. Desktop and mobile clients are being killed off in favour of Twitter’s website. Sorry twitter, while the web is getting more powerful, apps are still better. All you’ve managed to do with this announcement is piss off more users. Thankfully there are desktop alternatives, like MetroTwit.

Looks like that solution won’t last long either, the days of a fullscreen, multi-column twitter may be numbered.
