Vodafone are running a new campaign to encourage the recycling of your old technology at the Big Life Switch. With millions of new devices being sold every year, end of life for our gadgets is something we all need to deal with. Recycling the devices means it’ll be deconstructed into It’s raw components and wherever possible the components will be melted down and re-used.
Aussie’s don’t need much encouragement to update their technology, as a nation, we’re one of the fastest adopters in the world. That’s why we’re able to bat above our average with such a relatively small population. This lust for the new does mean our drawers, cupboards and garages are filling up with unloved technology. Anyone have an old printer, camera, mobile phone?
The Big Life Switch is an event being held in east-coast capital cities at the dates and times below. If you attend and commit to recycle some old technology, you could win a Samsung GALAXY S4. Vodafone are giving away a 3 of them every hour during the event.
