    Are you ready to drift? JDM Prologue: Rise of the Scorpion slides out today

    Like many racing fans, I’ve been following the progression of Japanese Drift Masters. Having enjoyed their demo a few months ago, the next experience on offer is set to launch today – JDM: Rise of the Scorpion.

    The free prologue to JDM: Japanese Drift Master, launches today at 2pm UTC (August 9th Midnight Australian time).

    Set in a fictional Japanese prefecture inspired by the mountainous region of Honshu, the game features licensed cars from Subaru and Mazda, and a variety of racing events including Drift Race, Drift Battle, and Grip Race.

    The prologue introduces the narrative aspect of the game, allowing players to experience the story of Hatori Hasashi’s journey to becoming the “Scorpion”.

    • Storytelling and Characters: Experience a racing game with a focus on story and unique narration through manga pages.
    • World of JDM: Explore a dynamic and diverse open map inspired by Japan’s famous drifting routes.
    • Test Licensed Cars: Get behind the wheel of licensed Subaru and Mazda cars, and upgrade them with modifications.
    • New Events: Compete against AI opponents in various drift and grip events, and experience plot-driven events.
    • Multifunctional Smartphone: Use the in-game smartphone to view messages, check mission status, change wallpapers, and more.
    • Uncover New Locations: Explore new areas and challenging roads, including the winding mountain roads around Haikama Lake and the Tengai Forest.

    JDM: Rise of the Scorpion is available on PC for Steam, GoG, and Epic Store.
