If you’re in the market for a massive TV for the living room, then JB Hi-Fi may just have solved your problem. As 4K arrives, many people are looking at expanding the size of their display as quality of 4K becomes more common. The LG 70UF770T is a 70” 4K Smart TV that has an RRP of A6,499, but JB are selling it for just A$4,996. This runs WebOS 2.0, has a quad-core processor and has the magic 200Hz refresh rate, rarely found in 4K displays. While it does have a LAN port, it also has WiFi support as well as Intel’s WiDi and Miracast support for wireless streaming of content from your devices.

Pound for pound, this is the best value, best featured 70” 4K display in the country. Only last year we had 1080p screens of this size for close to twice the price, so the drop has been rapid and is very, very welcome.

The biggest question with a 4K TV is the content sources and the best we have to date is certainly Netflix. Thankfully this TV has Netflix support built-in, so upgrade your subscription to the 4K tier and you’re ready to go. Of course that assumes you have the bandwidth to support that quality stream.

If you can’t find the cash for the 70” monster, you can still score the 65” version for A$3,498 which is $700 down from their regular price. If that’s still too rich, the 55” version costs A$2,198, which is $300 off the regular ticket price.
