    Queensland Raceway to hold dedicated E-Day for Electric Cars

    Mark your calendars for 22 August, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM because it’s time for E-Day, a dedicated event for electric car enthusiasts!

    If you’re passionate about electric vehicles (EVs) and love the thrill of the track, this is the perfect event for you. Here’s everything you need to know about this electrifying day.

    Event Overview

    E-Day is exclusively designed for electric cars, bringing together a maximum of 80 vehicles divided into four groups of 20.

    Whether you’re an EV aficionado or a curious newbie, this event promises a full day of excitement, speed, and community.

    Schedule and Procedure

    7:30 AM: Sign-On Start your day by signing on and getting ready for the action ahead.

    8:00 AM: Driver’s Briefing This briefing is crucial to ensure everyone understands the rules, safety protocols, and the day’s schedule.

    8:30 AM – 12:30 PM: On Track Hit the Clubman Circuit/Sprint for some serious track time. Each group of 20 cars will have the opportunity to test their limits and enjoy the thrill of the track.

    1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Cruise Laps After a morning of high-speed action, take it easy with some cruise laps. This is a great time to relax, enjoy the scenery, and connect with fellow EV enthusiasts.

    2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: National Circuit Laps Wrap up the day with laps on the National Circuit, experiencing the full breadth of what your electric car can do on this longer, more demanding track.

    What You Need to Participate

    To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, participants are required to have the following:

    • Motorsport Australia Speed License: You can purchase an annual license for $135 through the MA Website portal, which requires membership to an MA affiliated car club. Alternatively, a $35 Day License can be bought at checkout during your entry registration.
    • Appropriate Attire: Long pants, long sleeves, and enclosed shoes are mandatory for safety.
    • Helmet: Don’t forget your helmet for protection on the track.

    Costs

    • Track Price: $200 per participant
    • E-Charger Recharging Card: Each participant must also pay $100 for an E-Charger Recharging Card to ensure their vehicle stays powered throughout the event.
