For the first time in Australian television history, all 329 events at the Paris 2024 Olympics from July 26 to August 11 will be available ad-free, live and on demand via the Stan streaming service Sport addon option. Stan Sport also has rights to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games (August 28 – September 8).
Yes it does cost money to access Stan Sport but as a one off expense, I think it is pretty good value to pay for 1 month if you or your household are Olympics fanatics.
This is especially true if you’re a fan of smaller Olympics sports or want to watch other countries competing because historically Australian free to air TV Olympics coverage mostly concentrates on the big name sports where Australia does well like Swimming.
Stan advises that coverage will include 5.1 surround sound. All medal events and major moments from Paris 2024 will also be available to stream in 4K Ultra HD.
While Stan Sport is available on a wide variety of devices including Smart TVs, gaming consoles, media players, PC and Mac, tablets and mobile phones, it is best to check that your device is capable of playing Live matches on Stan Sport.
Stan Sport comprehensive coverage will be complemented by the ad supported Channel 9 Free to Air TV and 9Now streaming app.
