This morning Microsoft announced that they had sold 40 Million Windows 8 licences since it’s launch on October 26th. That’s an awful lot of people who are wanting apps for the new platform. AppFest Sydney is Microsoft Australia’s first developer app-building event since Tech.Ed. It’s a great opportunity to network with other developers trying to solve the same problem you are and connect with Microsoft Evangelists and Industry experts to help turn that app ideas into reality.
Over two days, attendees will immerse themselves in developing for Windows 8, Windows Phone & Windows Azure at Microsoft HQ. We have 4 tickets to give away, valued at $121 (inc GST) per ticket. You’ll need to make your own way to Sydney and stay from Friday 7th and Sunday 9th of December, sorry travel and accommodation aren’t part of the deal.
If Sydney doesn’t work for you, then you should know there are plans for more #Appfests in the other major cities next year. While I already have two apps in the Windows 8 Store (techAU and NewHouse), I want to hear from some of my readers who are interested in building apps.
How to enter.
The winners will be given to the most enthusiastic and thoughtful comments to the queston “Why do you want to attend #Appfest Sydney”?
