Samsung are giving all Olympic athletes a free phone! Aussie boxer shows off her free Galaxy Z Flip6

The 2024 Olympics Games kicks off with the Opening Ceremony set to air at 3:00AM (AEST) tomorrow.

As athletes from across the world arrive in Paris for the games, they are turning to social media to share their experiences in the athletes village.

One athlete doing that is boxer Tina Rahimi who recently shared a couple of videos on her TikTok channel.

In the videos, Rahimi shares that Samsung had gifted the athletes a brand new phone, and not just any phone, one of their newly released Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 phones worth more than A$2,749.00.

This isn’t just any Z Flip 6, instead, it’s a special Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition in a stunning gold finish and comes with a special Olympic themed case.

Rahimi followed up with another video to answer some questions and confirmed they get to keep the phone after the games as well as get an eSim (for calls, messages and data). At the end of the video Rahimi shares a quick clip of her visiting the on-site Samsung store in the Olympic Athlete village, along with the phone being used in folded mode for a video call.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is a marvel of foldable technology, boasting a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with an incredibly smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. But that’s not all – it also features a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover display that’s larger than its predecessor, making it perfect for checking notifications, widgets, and even quick interactions without having to unfold the phone.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 packs a punch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor. Combined with a generous 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB, this phone can effortlessly handle multitasking, demanding apps, and even high-quality gaming.

For photography enthusiasts, the Z Flip 6 doesn’t disappoint. It boasts a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide lens, allowing you to capture stunning photos and videos in various settings. And with a 10MP front-facing camera, your selfies will be on point too.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 also comes with a range of convenient features, including IPX8 water resistance, Samsung DeX for a desktop-like experience, Flex Mode for hands-free video calls and photos, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security.

With its powerful performance, improved cameras, and unique foldable design, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is undoubtedly a flagship smartphone that deserves a spot in your pocket.

Good luck at the games Aussies!
