Great new Boxee Box owners, the latest update to the software is now available. If you want it right now (like me), then you’ll need to do the upgrade manually by following the instructions below. If your patient, then the update will show up over the next few days.
Why do you want it version 1.1 ? Well it comes with a brand new browser that launches and loads pages faster, has better HTML5 support and quite frankly a stupidly long list of other improvements.

Download the latest Boxee Box firmware at http://www.boxee.tv/download/boxeebox. The downloaded file will be named boxee.iso, and that name must be maintained.
- Copy the boxee.iso file to a thumb drive. Make sure to properly eject the flash drive after copying the file.
- Power down the Boxee Box.
- Power up the Boxee Box by pressing and holding the power button for 6-10 seconds. Upon release, the Box will boot with the logo turned orange.
- After the Recovery Menu appears, connect your thumb drive to the Boxee Box, wait 2 seconds, then select Upgrade from USB from the menu, and follow on-screen instructions.

Update
After spending a few minutes with Boxee Box 1.1, the update has certainly improved the speed. Moving in and out of different section of the UI is a lot snappier, with video loading time obviously still dependant on your connection speed. Thumbnails seemed to load noticeably faster and the Browser is precisely a bazillion times better.
