After hearing about the new firmware last friday, I quickly checked if I was able to update to the 1.1.2 firmware for my new iPod Touch. And nothing, kept being told that 1.1.1 was the most current and I was up to date.
Well I just got a nice surprise when I tried it once again. Clicked the update button in iTunes and it said the new firmware was indeed now available.
At a whopping 157.9Mb I’m hoping it contains more than the reported ‘add calendar’ feature and security patches.
The new firmware changes are:
– Adds battery level indicator in iTunes.
– Adds ability to add events from iPod Touch, then sync back to Calendar (i.e. Outlook).
– Pretty sure there wasn’t a Settings->Safari->Developer section before, it allows you to turn on Debug Console on or off – “Debug Console will automatically appear to help resolve web page errors.”
