Following its highly anticipated launch last night, North American gamers have begun testing the PlayStation 4 and its various features, including the impressive “Remote Play” technology.
Remote Play is a feature of Sony’s high-powered game consoles that allows the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 to transmit video and audio data to a PlayStation Vita, instead of the user’s home entertainment set.
The feature was poorly implemented during its release on the PlayStation 3, however Sony has rectified this by making it’s inclusion mandatory for all PlayStation 4 titles.
How portable is Remote Play? Well YouTube user “The Phawx” has highly feasible examples of it running on T-Mobile’s 4G/LTE network in downtown New York.
