Polestar offering $5,000 off incentives for existing Polestar 2 stock

The Polestar 2 is a compelling electric vehicle offering modern looks, very decent performance and range. If you’re in the market for a new EV, you should know they’re offering significant incentives to buy existing stock.

For a limited time, Polestar is offering over $5,000 of incentives, if you purchase a ready-to-deliver Polestar 2.

    • $3,000 rebate to help all buyers, including those who fall above the current government rebate thresholds (Any new or existing active order for Polestar 2 is eligible for the rebate. The rebate will be processed within 10 days of Polestar receiving full payment for the vehicle).
    • A complimentary charging package worth over $2,000 to help you get ready to go electric

These offers are valid on model year 2023 Polestar 2 car orders until 31 May 2023* (detailed below).

At the time of writing, there are 27 cars in stock across Australia, including all variants – Standard range, single motor, Long range single motor and Long range Dual Motor.

The cheapest model starts at A$73,190.81 up to A$102,727.20. These all have delivery dates Mid-June. Some of these have the optional Performance and Pilot Pack upgrades added. While you need to pay the dollars up front, after the rebate, this means you can be in a P2 for right on A$70k.

The charging option is interesting, customers get the choice between a Home charger including standard installation valued at $2,499. For this price, you get 1 x Zappi 2 Charger (Single Phase), 1 x Standard Installation, 1 x Type 2 to Type 2 EV Charging Cable 22kW.

The other charging option is to choose to charge credits on the Evie Networks fast charging network.

This option would work well if you already have an EV charger installed and plan to travel. This includes 1 x $2,000 Public Charging Credit, 1 x Type 2 to Type 2 EV Charging Cable 22kW.

The $2,000 worth of public charging credits are valid for 3 years at over 100 fast charging sites across Australia, which are powered by 100% clean energy.

It’s not immediately clear why Polestar has problems moving these vehicles, they’re great cars and brand new, likely now available as stock due to cancelled orders. Australia often struggles to get stock of electric vehicles into the country, so if you’re after an EV, then consider a Polestar 2 and you could have it in the driveway next month.

Polestar is also promoting this through their design studio, encouraging those who are ordering a new configuration to select a pre-built model.

*Rebate and Charging Offer applies to new model year 2023 Polestar 2 cars ordered between 03.05.2023 and 31.05.2023, and delivered by 31.07.2023 (unless stock runs out earlier or offer is extended) and also applies to active orders of Polestar 2 which have yet to take delivery. $3,000 rebate will be processed within 10 business days of Polestar receiving full payment for the vehicle. Government, Rental, Novated Leasing and all other fleet customers are excluded. The order must be placed within the stated promotion period and applies to the model year 2023 Polestar 2. You must accept the home charging or public charging supplier’s terms & conditions as a condition of receiving the Charging Offer.
