Featuring a redesigned Playstation Store and some audio upgrades, the Playstation 3 has just recieved an update. Firmware version 2.30, this is no doubt a rolling update which may be yet to land down under.

Props to Sony, the screen shots look good, high quality images that are bright and vibrant set against a sweet blue theme. The looks will count for nothing unless the content is there, so I hope they make more available.
As for their Virtual Realtiy Sim – Home, rumours suggested it would finally arrive with this firmware update. This is not the case, so PS3 owners will have to wait a little longer for that one. If Sony gets Home right, it could be the thing that gets me to buy a PS3. So for now Home remains in beta.
