One of the more bizarre, but equally awesome things to be announced at this mornings Xbox event is that Steven Spielberg is working on a live-action Halo TV series for Xbox. Surely when someone who is as creative and as much as a kid as anyone is signed on to produce a show based on one of the greatest video game franchises of all time you would think it would be destined for greatness.
So it’s a good thing that’s happening! The series, which will be available on Xbox Live, will be produced in conjunction with the fame’s developer 343 industries. During the Xbox announcement, Steven Spielberg appeared ina video statement where he enthused about what he wants to do with the Halo series.
“For me, the Halo universe is an amazing opportunity to be at that intersection where technology and myth-making meet,” Spielberg said.
The Halo series is just one of many exclusive series being developed for the Xbox which will have a strong emphasis on its home entertainment offerings.
